Poem: The Power of a Name
Dear Diary,
Here is another installment in one of my favorite series – Seasonal Poems. Today, I share with you a poem about the relatable struggle of verifying names, for example, when the prospect uses variations of their name or has the same name as several relatives. We know these moments all too well.
Enjoy and Happy Holidays!

Pardon me, let me trouble you for a moment and count the seconds and minutes my review will take. Within an hour, I’ll continue in agony as the sun sets, hiding its face from my window, my hands hiding my face from my computer screen.

I, a simple researcher, question my thoughts. Who is my prospect? My mind queries, my puzzle entangles me as the names appear in one way here, another way there. Many names to choose from – How could one person feel like so many? May I ask you to answer me plainly?

What is in a name? The trouble creeps through my heart forcing my very lucid mind to question patronage and lineage.
Could this actually be their father? I increase my sources as I click, click, and search for answers.
